I've always been passionate about art and creativity, constantly seeking ways to immerse myself in it. My curiosity led me to explore various avenues both in and out of school until I discovered Graphic Design, which captivated my interest. Determined to pursue a career in this field, I invested in a Mac and dedicated countless hours to self-learning Adobe and all aspects of design. This effort paid off when I successfully built a portfolio that secured me an apprenticeship with Shropshire Council.
Since earning my Level 3 Creative Media qualification, I've never looked back. My journey of continuous learning includes recently enrolling in a part-time Graphic Design degree with Open University. With my apprenticeship completed and my degree in progress, I'm now seeking my next adventure where I can showcase my skills and demonstrate my capabilities.
My portfolio showcases various aspects of design that reflect my interests, encompassing both university assignments and commissioned projects. I've always been drawn to the idea of launching a clothing brand, which led me to create "Chaos." I designed clothing items that I would love to wear, conducting extensive research on fashion trends and analysing clothing websites to develop my designs.
"Jochelle" is a commissioned piece for a friend, Jordan, who was starting her eyebrow makeup brand. She needed help with the design and had only a vague idea that she wanted a black-and-white theme. Starting from scratch, I explored numerous possibilities and generated various ideas. Eventually, we decided on a simple black-and-white design, with plans to expand and refine it as the brand grows.
My work with Shropshire Council and Wrexham University demonstrates my ability to produce both formal and corporate designs. Although these projects are more structured compared to my other work, they highlight my versatility in handling different styles.
"World of Chrome" was inspired by a Beyoncé concert and the tour's visuals. I aimed to create a distorted chrome project infused with controversial themes like mind control. This project allowed me to delve deep into my imagination and create an immersive world that I thoroughly enjoyed exploring
